Damion Mosier-Tidd
The Basics
Welcome, if you're here, let me introduce myself. I'm Damion, and I like to help.
I am looking for a change, a challenge, and a meaningful job that has measurable positive effects.
My current skillsets are experienced graphic designer, team leader, and process improvement specialist. Over the course of my career I've worked for a wide variety of clients and companies, ranging from locally owned printshops and bespoke design projects to large corporate employers (including several of the major companies in the web1.0 era). For the last 23 years I have been a designer and production artist for Abbott Diabetes Care in Alameda, CA. I am self-starting with regard to projects, committed to timelines, decisive and forward thinking, and can deliver clean and effective
communications for any purpose.
What I would bring to your organization:
Experience: My career has spanned a wide range of environments, from small print shops to the Fortune500. Whatever the job, whatever the team, I have something to offer.
Adaptability: I thrive in environments where the pace is fast and adaptability is at a premium. In the age of AI, this means wearing as many hats as the job requires and being ready to flex to fit whatever the current workflow demands. I am unafraid of new things, and constantly looking to learn and improve.
Leadership: I started as a production artist and graphic designer, but over the years I have developed into a strong team leader who can use creativity, humor, and direct feedback to lead teams to optimal outcomes. Additionally, I am a master at presenting information in an accessible and engaging way, whether it be in an online meeting, or in front of a room full of people.
Closing Thoughts:
I always look to the big picture, taking in all the information available to me, and finding the path to to results that matter.
My background is unusual, my career path is unconventional, and my outlook is optimistic.

History
Abbott Diabetes Care: Senior Production Artist / Designer
Alameda, CA
2003 - 2004 contract, 2004 - 2026, FTE
As a senior designer / production artist at Abbott Diabetes Care, I handled a wide range od duties, from basic labelling to full product packaging development. This includes cartons, packouts, manuals, medical device labels, multi language inserts, digital documentation, and concepts for upcoming products. The department works under tight FDA-regulated conditions for accuracy and turnaround times were often fast paced and demanding.
Additionally, I formed and lead teams to complete specific tasks, oversaw and produced internal communications in conjunction with branding, public relations, and HR, and lead the team that published the quarterly QA news magazine.
I was also heavily involved with process improvement initiatives. To that end I redesigned our internal quality check process, created the process that brought our internal communications projects within our managed workflows, and was heavily involved in reworking the redline process our coordinators and designers used to communicate changes and edits back and forth.
